A story about bullying and wonder.
I burst through the school doors and run outside in tears, I could hear them taunting me.

“There she goes again, running away! What a freak. Go kill yourself, whore! You’re out of time anyways! Nobody likes you.”
I ran as fast as I could as the school disappeared with each step I took. I wiped my tears away and looked at where I was, Morgan Street, I was far away from home. I looked at my cell phone, 1 new message from mom, Samantha, where are you? I sighed and ignored it. I walked along the street; I’ve never been to this part of town before. I was looking at the houses when something caught my eye, it was moving that’s for sure. I turned around and the scuffling stopped, so I ignored it and kept walking and then I heard it once more, I turned around again and it stopped again. I quickened my pace and then I heard someone fall, I turned and said,

“Hello?”
I could only hear the wind moving the trees together and the crickets chirping.
“Hello?” I started to back away cautiously whatever wasn’t responding could either be an animal or a person trying to kill me.

“Wait! Please.”

Startled, I turned back, it was starting to get dark, and so I couldn’t see anything.

“Are you hurt? Do you need help?” I said slowly.

“No… I don’t think so. What’s your name?”

“Umm, I’m sorry but I don’t know you, so I’d rather keep my personal business to myself.”

I heard the person chuckle it was a guy.

“But you do know me, Sam.”

I turned to run but felt his breath near me.

“Don’t move.”

Silence.
