This is a poem about trials and determination and came about as a response to a prompt.
It's either the beginning or the ending,
Of the two, I can't decide.
Trust is broken, long past mending;
My heart you've cast aside.

Hollow chest, fears ascending;
Frozen tears you've left undried.
You don't care for the souls you're rending.
It's not to me, alone, you've lied.

I move on, I won't be bending
To your curses, your angry tide.
I walk on, the trail unending,
With the truth you can't abide.

There's someone for me, trust defending,
A hand to be my guide.
I won't stop until I find that ending,
Or is it the beginning of a path as yet untried?
