A Halloween poem
Under the full harvest moon,
ghost waltz celebrating
their favorite fall holiday.

It's autumn
in Burnt Corn, Alabama,
children plan trick-or-treating costumes,
while adults stroll
hand-in-hand
under the full harvest moon.

Dark nights
illuminated by the full harvest moon
encourage
creative pumpkin carving,
romance,
and Halloween practical jokes.

Under the full harvest moon,
life slows,
imagination shifts
into overdrive,
and nights are haunted
by folklore,
myths,
and urban legends waiting
for All Hallows Eve.

Line Count: 24
Form: Free style with random rhyme.
Prompt Words: Ghost, Moon, Dark, Pumpkin.
