I Care For Grandpa

“What is the meaning of this shouting?”



"I'm shouting because Grandpa can't hear me."



"You don't have to shout at me. I can hear just fine."



"Sorry, I get carried away."



"What happened to Gramps hearing aid?"



"It went to that place all hearing aids go to, the great unknown. This is like the fifth hearing aid Grandpa has lost. I've given up on replacing them."



"Well, that is a cynical view to have."



"Oh, you think I'm being cynical. Don't even get me started on how many electric razors he has broken while trying to clean them. Even though I've told him time and time again to let me clean it for him."



"I was wondering why he had a beard, because he never had one in the past."



"That would be why."



"Is there anything I can do for you to help out?"



"Would you be interested in taking over his care. I think I've had enough."



"If you want to go, then sure I would be glad to take over. He has always been my favorite."



"Great, here is a list of his medications. This notebook has all his day to day care needs written down and I have marked on the calendar all his doctors appointments for the next month."



"When do you think you will be back to visit him."



"Between you and me probably never."



With those final words he practically ran out the door.



Shouting "Looks like its just you and me now Grandpa."



Grandpa "You don't have to shout at me. I can hear just fine. He was just here to get my money and this was the only way I could think of to get rid of him."
