Zhen

Zhen stood at the edge of a cliff overlooking a vast valley. Directly below was a thin line of a twisting river, which separated her homeland forests from another reality. She is from an ancient line of healers whose lands are shrinking more with every season.
A whisper in the breeze laced with intrigue drew her to the end of her forest. She could not ignore it. Elders, long gone left a trace message of warning to her, “Do not go beyond the forest.”
“I understand and I will be cautious.” She whispered to the memory. Then she gripped firmly to her cape ends and leaped. She followed the pull of the natural winds, only flapping the cape briefly to accommodate the currents. Her flight softly ends on the far side of the river. She landed on her feet directly in front of a cave entrance. The cave hummed. The sound reverberated in an unknown, unfamiliar language yet she clearly understood it. She sensed an urgency that compelled her to search the cave until she found it. The most vibrant and luminous crystal she had ever seen. It glowed and pulsated a clairvoyant message expressing a deep need that only Zhen could help her with.
Going against all the coherent intuition healers of her kind possessed she touched the crystal. Instantly a chemical reaction took place creating an unbreakable bond.

“I am a Lemurian seed crystal. I need you to carry me for a while. I promise I will release you from our bond any time you want. Okay?”

“Why am I absorbing your memories? Leave room for mine please!” Zhen asked.
“It’s only temporary, put me in that faery lace pouch of yours and It will block me from absorbing more of your memories.”

“Done. That is better. Thank you. I do not like what you just did. Do not do that again! “

“We will find a better way later and don’t worry about your memories. I have them all and you will get them back when this is over. Now, let’s get moving. We have a treacherous journey ahead of us. And time is of the utmost importance.”
