Part of The Majestic Chronicles

I, Zhen, did not want to ride a dragon. Crystal was not reassuring at all. She has no memories of dragon riding. Then we saw him.
Woodrift is the most beautiful creature I've ever seen. His fur morphed, splitting into feather-like layers of flat scales-like armor that shimmer in beautiful hues which are constantly changing. His accelerated growth surprises me. I've never seen anything grow so fast and I wonder how long this spurting will continue.

Tiny, the dragons’ soul bound friend and wood imp also plays the flute. Hers has a much higher frequency and resonates with a deep tone. Her notes reach another dimension, and echo back at the same time as it’s being played. Our harmony sends tears down my cheeks. Melodies rise to the surface of my mind, like ghosts from an endless well of memories. I do not fathom the depths of the source of them, but I am soothed by the distraction. Because, this elevation is foreign to me.

Tiny wove a saddle for me. I can hardly see it, but spider web silk is strong. It is holding me in place on the dragons’ head…. I am centered snuggly between his most vertical horns. Tiny is sitting on the pouch around my neck that holds the Lemurian seed crystal. She would look like an ornament if she held still. But she doesn’t. She dances to our music quite enthusiastically as we soar high above the dark tree lined forest.

He hit another growth spurt; snapping one end of the spider wrapped line. My chair and I went sailing clear to the end of its entirety. Then we spun around the base of the other horn and twisted tight like a volleyball on a pole. Tiny flew quickly, she used her spider web weaving skills tethering me tightly to that horn.

The moment of his last growth, I saw Majestic. I knew that I would survive.
