After a deceased father

They-just- did not tell me
that you were dying slowly in every tear I shed
They -just- did not tell me
that you were going into night like a warrior-

You wanted us not to know - that
you were leaving-
Not to put me in an incurable agony
or for any other reason I do not know

I call you the warrior
I can not say you were a fairy-tale like savior
but
Just sure that you did something for me
Sure, something good- forever-
but why you left without letting me know is unanswered
I can not answer because
I am none the wiser.
