sad... but it happens all the time.
I look into your eyes and what I thought was to be seen is not.
I thought that love was there, I thought that I could see it in you. But I saw madness,
I saw cruelty. I thought of running; but it was too late.
The madness in you came through. You grabbed my arm and I cried.
You smirked and laughed at the pain and sorrow of which I was feeling. I was nice to you before then, but when you took my arm, it all ended.
You pushed me down and had your way. I cried and screamed as you went harder.
You left me here with this and ran like water in a creek.
I thought I loved you, but you took what was mine and left. I cry thinking about you and what you did. I want to forgive you, but I can’t and I won’t.
Your smile stings my soul and pierces my heart. But yet I look into her eyes and see you. I hug her tightly and tell her that you wanted to be here for her.
I go on lying to her and myself; thinking you will come back to us. When I hold her close with both cry in thought of you.
She needed a father to guide her but it didn't end that way.
I was gone for a short time, but it seemed too long.
The knife was hers and so was the blood.
She is gone now and you could have saved her. The days were hers and she was loved, but it wasn’t enough, she needed more guidance and I couldn’t do it alone.
She has gone and so have you, I am alone now. But I'm still looking... and hoping... that one day, I may find someone.

Authors note- I admit, this did not actually happen to me. Someone close to me did have this happen to them and asked me to write a piece like this. I dedicate this piece and my prayers to them. (She asked me to keep her name confidention and I respect that, so no name will be given)
