A dark look at a bad situation.
I take Apon myself this pride
Of shame and neatly fold it into shapes
that only I
Can resurrect and waste my time with
As I reflect and wonder why
This blood has dried
And crusted on my hands
I fear I may have
Something to really be afraid of now

Life is like a shiney moment
Punctuated by glimpses of conciousness
Here and there I find forever
But forever only lasts until the song is done

Down the street
And not across I take a few more steps
Toward resolution of a day I damn
And I think I have it in myself
To apologize for always being there
With that stupid look stuck on my face
I'm on my way to understanding why
I lack all that counts in life
To you

Life is like a shiney moment
Punctuated by glimpses of conciousness
Here and there I find forever
But forever only lasts until the song is done

This always hurts
It never works
Can I find a way to heal
All the suffering I feel?
We're not the same
And I scream the blame
Back at myself

Life is like a shiney moment
Punctuated by glimpses of conciousness
Here and there I find forever
But forever only lasts until the song is done
