Do you know what you would wish for if you were granted a wish? Wings, perhaps?
Wings

If granted a wish, I might wish to fly
one glorious night ‘neath a starlight sky.

With wings on loan, I’d look for those above,
with eternal wings, on missions of love.

I’d tell them I, too, want to serve that way,
to have my own permanent wings one day.

Though not just yet, the timing isn’t right,
my soul isn't ready to make that flight.

But when that day comes, I will be at peace
content while waiting for my soul’s release.

I’ll have earned the wings that will let me soar
from this Earthly realm to my next life’s door.
