Road To Anywhere

“This is exciting!” Ambiana exclaimed to her new boyfriend Troy. She fingered the blindfold he had put on her, hoping he would let her take it off.

“It certainly is,” he responded in the deep velvety voice she loved.

She felt the car turn. The feeling beneath its tires changed to a crunchy lurching.

“I think we took the wrong road,” she ventured.

“How can I surprise you, when you keep fretting! I know what I’m doing, and I know you’re gonna love it!” His voice had an edginess now. She fell silent, through fear.

They made another turn and briefly the car stopped. She heard Troy get out, got to the front and do something. When he came back, he drove forward again.

Beginning to panic, Ambiana, fought to concentrate on what she could hear and smell. When the car stopped, Troy got out. He came around to her side and opened the door.

When she went to remove her seatbelt, he grabbed her by the ankles and zip-tied them together. Before she could react, he did the same with her wrists. He shoved a cloth that tasted of motor oil into her mouth. Flicking open the seatbelt, he picked her up and began to carry her.

“Can you hear my pets?” he asked as grunting and snuffling sounds came to her ears.

“They love people like you, sweet and tender.”

Ambiana shivered and as she did so, her legs fell out of his grasp. She did a mule kick and got him where it really hurts. He gasped and let her fall.

She hit the ground, tore off the blindfold and spit out the gag. Using nail clippers from her pocket in her mouth, she snipped the ankle restraints and ran speedily into the darkness.
