Revoirâme are striking the Fractured Realm; the agents of Mortem Enterprises must fight
The Dishonored Soldier stood tall before his fellow agents, his commanding presence drawing all eyes to him. Though they had only recently been inducted into Malice’s service, he could see the weight of their impossible task already bearing on them. He knew they would need more than dark powers to survive the arduous journey ahead. They would need hope.

Leovik: I know we don’t know each other yet. We have been torn from the realm of the living and forced to dwell in this dismal plane. But we can not abandon hope. If we’re going to fulfill our chance for redemption, we must believe there is a purpose to our cursed existence.

The Fractal Portal opened behind him. He glanced at it before turning to meet each of their eyes, seeing his desperation reflected.

Leovik: We may be agents of Malice now, but we were once servants of the light—warriors, healers, seekers of truth. That spirit still lives within us. ( He then unsheathed his sword, the obsidian blade glinting in the firelight. ) We will face untold horrors when we cross into the Fractured Realm. The Revoirâme will seek to destroy everything in their path. But we must be steadfast!"

He enthusiastically raised his sword overhead, the metal of his exposed face plate alight.

Leovik: This is the moment we stand against the spreading darkness. We will journey into the abyss to protect the innocent lives Revoirâme seeks to extinguish!”

Sareth: ( stepped forward, gripping her quarterstaff tightly. ) For Malice. For ourselves!

Leovik: ( in his mind’s eye, there was a flash of a vision: a beautiful Automated woman he had adored when he was alive. Gulping, he thinks to himself… ) For you.

The others gathered behind Leovik and Sareth, the firelight glinting off their weapons and armor. For a moment, they stood together, united in purpose. Then the Fractal portal opened wider, ready for them to make their entrance. Facing the harsh light illuminating the forested landscape of the Fractured Realm, they paused for just a moment before running through as one.

The light from the portal faded behind them as Leovik, Sareth, and the others stepped into the eerie twilight of the Fractured Realm. The ancient forest surrounding them was unnaturally still as if holding its breath in fearful anticipation.

Leovik: ( Scanning their surroundings, his hands gripping his obsidian sword tightly, waiting for some sort of movement. The trees here were gnarled and skeletal, their branches twisted into disturbing shapes. Strange wisps of luminous fog drifted among the trunks )

Sareth: ( Murmured a quiet prayer, her voice barely audible over the ominous creaking of the woods. Her faith had always been a source of strength, but now it felt fragile and strained. Still, she clung to it as her lifeline. )

A sharp crack echoed through the trees, followed by a savage shriek. Leovik whirled as a deformed creature burst from the undergrowth. It moved in a disturbing, jerky gait, elongated limbs grown in razor-sharp talons. The Revoirâme’s head was a malformed mass of eyes and teeth gnashing together hungrily.

Leovik: ( Leapt forward to meet it, his blade slicing cleanly through the creature’s neck in a spray of acrid ichor. As its body hit the forest floor, more shrieks arose around them as other nightmares converged on their position. ) Ready yourselves!
