Writer’s Cramp: write a nature poem titled “The Last Summer Rose”.
The Last Summer Rose

Our love was a sprout springing from the ground
With each other nothing could hold us back
We would grow higher with rain all around
And roots stronger in life’s dirt, cold and black

We nourished each other as sun on leaves
Blossomed together like buds on a bush
Life is nature’s cycle cut short by thieves
Can’t be stopped no matter how hard we push

Days always shorten and colder wind blows
Eventually falls, the last summer rose
