|| If you turn a light off, expect it to stay off.
Sometimes at night,

when I'm in my room

I look out the window as I watch the planes fly by.

Those lights flashing from it,

give me a sense of comfort

as I know those lights

will always be there,

the plane always flying high above my street.

The street lights may flicker,

or the flood lights stop working,

but those plane lights never will;

the only consistency I had in my world.

I had more than just planes,

but you went,

and you ruined it.

The moment those words flooded your mouth,

was the moment my heart drowned.

The moment your mind came to a conclusion,

was the moment my heart closed it.

The moment you reached for that light switch,

was the moment mine turned off in sync.

Trust is like a light.

When a breaker blunders and the lights stop working,

they come back on; only till you fix it.

You shatter the bulb,

there is no fixing it.

There is a difference with lights and trust, however

and that difference is you can always buy a new bulb

but you can never replace trust,

unless you seek it in someone else.

So when I see those plane lights

and I feel that warmth of places in which they shall be,

remember it'll never be

because of you.
