StoryMaster and StoryMistress, two beautiful people hidden behind the screen I see, who help me everyday to be a better author so I can write many words, not all uptight, but often sweet and kind of life, love, nature, from my mind. I love them both for all they do, and their brilliant little guy, too. They've created the nice place where there is always a space to write a poem or story or both as long as I'm not like the sloth. I'm grateful to them every day and always try to find a way to say thanks however I can; they're the best woman and man. May God bless them every day and their son in His own way. - Ann Patterson ANN Counselor, Lesbian & Happy |

Story Master And Story Mistress, Thank you for all that you do behind the scenes to keep WDC such a fantastic place to be. This is truly my second home, a place where I care about the people I make friends with. A place that has encouraged me to follow my childhood dreams even at thirty-seven years old with three small children! You may not have held my hand and guided me through it personally, but if it weren't for your dream of creating a place like this, than I don't think I would ever had begun to open myself to the possibilities of my own dreams. I am going back to college thanks to the inspiration and passion I have discovered here. All your hard work to make us happy has worked, and your continuing efforts are appreciated. Dear SM and SMs,
I joined WDC in 2008, but I didn't really become active until last year during WDC's 13th Birthday. I wish I had become active sooner. I've met the most amazing people on this site. They've always been friendly and forgiving and always trying to better the site for others. WDC has given me a safe haven to share my writing and be a part of an amazing community when my real life isn't all that great. I've received amazing feedback and met beautiful friends. Thank you for all that you do and all that you've done. This is the most amazing community of writers I've ever seen and I'm so thankful to be apart of it. Thank you, - Lyndsay Rae lazymarionette |

Dear SM and SMs, It's hard to believe that this wonderful site turned 14 this week! I remember visiting as a pre-teen and young teenager when it was still Stories.com, but for some reason I didn't join until I was 16 and you were known as Writing.com. I'm glad my friend at the time reminded me. It's a funny story actually - we were in 10th grade and we were in this computer class where the teacher didn't care what we did as long as it looked productive. He was telling me about a great stories site he found and said I should join. I exclaimed, "Oh! I remember this site!I might have signed up a long time ago, but I don't remember. Let me make an account!" The rest was history and every day in that computer class, I would read stories from wonderful members that later became great friends and also learned how to write better. Over the years I've made wonderful friends here, as I mentioned above. I remember JudyB fondly and the other members that are now White Cases very fondly. I'm glad this site is a close knit community and I think by being able to forge friendships, you learn how to appreciate differences and learn from the differences to grow. I also love how you inspire me too, SM & SMs, I love receiving post cards and cards. You have saved my life countless times and have made me a stronger person in the process. I'm really glad you came up with this idea! I look forward to the next 14 years. :) Jessica Future Mrs. Boo |
When I found this site eight years ago I felt like I had found my inner self! You both have created something very special here. It is more than just a second home, it is a key to creativity from deep within realms of one's soul. It gave me the opportunity to upload all the imprints on my heart in the form of poetry, and to receive ample feedback. Thank you so very much for all you do for all of us that are lucky enough be and to have been members here. - ShiShad |
