Intros

I don't know about you, but the Title and Intro are typically the first thing I notice about an item, whether it's a static item or activity. It's what ultimately draws me in and makes me want to learn more. I think the intro is often over-looked as a great tool to get people to look at your item!

Some ideas for intros:

*Star* One of my favorites is letting people know if a contest or activity is currently open and when the current round ends. It's a great way to let people know it's open for submissions! Some examples:

*Star* Another great idea is to simply have a quick summary of your activity so viewers will know right away if it's the right place for them to visit! Whether it's letting viewers know it's a weekly/monthly/daily contest or listing the genre or type of entries you're looking for, it's a great place to give some quick specifics! Some examples:;

FORUM
Dragon Eggs Open in new Window. (E)
Buy into the egg of your choice supporting your favorite group.

#1706303 by Osirantinous Author IconMail Icon

*Up* Bonus points for naming the types of awards given!

As for contest entries, it can be a good place to state which contest you've entered (a link to the contest in the item itself is always a great idea, too!), or you can elaborate on the type of story or poem the viewer/judge is about to read! Some examples:
