Hathi the elephant speaks Weekly Challenge

Hathi the elephant speaks
To the jungle people
Assembled at the council rocks
By the river’s edge

He loved talking
To his people
He was the dean
Of the jungle

Been around
Since the dawn of time
Or so it seemed

He particularly liked
Speaking to Mowgli
The young man
Raised by the wolves

He foresaw
A time coming
When the men

Would once again
Assemble to attack
The Jungle people

And Mowgli
Would save the jungle

So he had heard
From his sources

He smiled at Mowgli
Imparting his wisdom
To the attentive boy
