A hand and a raptor's claw compared.


El Condor Pasa

How Kafka-esque to feel this way,
metamorphosis will have its day,
my hands are changing into claws
and though the future gives me pause,
consider too that I’ll have flight
to lift me to a soaring height,
and there to drift upon my feathers,
so free of earth and care forever.
