Eridanus house’s animal is the Spider.

She choose to accept those who were creative and artistic, and had great
imagination. While Rowena encouraged her students to look to books, Salazar to
make his wily and cunning, and Godric to have his brave; Eris encouraged hers
to adore the world. To see the beauty in the small things that others
neglected, like rain on a spider’s web. To see and understand that there was
beauty in everything, even if others couldn’t see it.

People in Eridanus were more likely to be seers as well, and were more adept at
‘natural’ magics because of their connection to the living world, and their
perception of tiny things.

Eridanus’ colours were dark purple, and white.

Eris’ element was Spirit- this means she can manipulate energy and light.

The original Hogwarts seal had included a spider in the centre on a plum
background, but this was removed once Eris went evil. It was at this same time
that she was removed from all books.

She loved to sing, and dance, more-so than any of the other Founders could ever
understand.

One of her happiest memories is from when she was eighteen. She and Godric were
hiding from Salazar, and his kissed her on the lips, and told her she was
beautiful. The next week he met Rowena, and forgot all about it.

Ever since she was a young child she had an affinity for spiders. One morning
her mother had woken to find the three-month old Eris’ cot swarming with them.
Her mother had been horrified, but Eris was simply giggling and seemingly
talking to them.

Her mother’s name was Carinae Elnath, and her father was Epsilon Slytherin.
(Eris and Salazar share a father, but have different mothers.)

She is completely immune to spider venom.

Her tattoos were not chosen decisions, but instead markings that were given to
her while she slept. Her first one appeared when she was six. She woke up
feeling woozy, and found a painful and swollen, intricate black pattern
twisting up her arm. The next one appeared at sixteen, this time on her back.
Again she had no idea how it appeared. The final one- she masking across her
eyes- happened when she was twenty-two. She woke up sometime in the night,
feeling a pain around her eyes, and a fluttering feeling. She opened her eyes
and could see only hairy legs moving before her. There were dozens of spiders
on her face, injecting their venom into her, and creating those black designs.

Eris was four when she met Godric. She and Salazar were playing far from the
house, and Godric ran into her. Salazar was off somewhere else. Anyway, Godric
was feeling playful so he stole her doll. Eris didn’t take kindly to that and
she kicked him in the shin. When Salazar found them a short while later they
were wrestling playfully in the mud. Salazar thought Godric was attacking Eris,
and he dragged him off her and punched him. Everything got explained, and the
three were friends ever since.

The three met Rowena when the boys were 21. Salazar was engaged to a woman
called Cassiopeia, but Godric was single. He fell almost instantly for Rowena
who was one year younger than him. Eris didn’t know this for many years though.
But she adored Rowena, because she taught her things she didn’t know before.
She was also the first real female friend. Rowena was often a little to hard
for Eris’s tastes though, and was always far closer to Helga.
