Messages out of Time
18 Masa’il 163 B.E. - December 29, 2006

Today I checked my yahoo.com e-mail bulk folder. Instead of doing a mass delete, I deleted one group of 25 at a time. I started at the end of the box instead of the beginning. The dates on the messages at that end of the folder were Wed May 22, 1963, Thur May 23, 1963, Sat Aug 08, 1963, I didn’t read them because the subject lines didn’t arouse my curiosity. All the messages were spam anyway and they were all from the same company or similar businesses. However, I did get an idea for a story or a rant depending on how I feel when I sit down to compose the piece.

I did write a piece of flash fiction about someone getting an e-mail message from the future. So perhaps I just need to write a few more stories in that vein and do a flash fiction collection using the Messages out of Time theme.
