The Past Two Days
1 Sharaf 163 B.E. - December 31, 2006

I have spent most of the last two day not at home. On December 29, we (Mom and I) went to the bank then decided to go to eat. Fortunately, the Red Lobster didn’t open until 11:00 a.m. So after the bank we came back to the house (yes, I know it would have been easier to feed the cats before we left, but that didn’t cross my mind). After we fed the cats, we went to the Red Lobster and I used two gift cards there to help pay for our meal. Then we went to the vets and paid for the cat food. After that I stopped and got gas. Then I went to Boarders Bookstore and used a gift card there to get two books: Sixty Things to do When you Turn Sixty and 365 of the Greatest Hymns. Then we went to a Super Wal-Mart, got groceries, then came back home. I drove all over town, I was tired when we arrived home, so I went to bed early and started reading Sixty Things to do When you Turn Sixty

On December 30, we went to a Ruhi Book 4 study circle from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on the east side of Las Vegas. Came back to the house and fed the cats. Then started out for the Baha’i Center (which is on the west side), stopped at the Wal-Mart, got chips to serve at the study circle for Ruhi Book 6 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and went to the study circle. After that, we stayed at the Baha’i Center. Feast was a t 7:00 p.m. last night and their wasn’t any use driving back to the house because there wasn’t time to drive back and forth between the meetings. By the time we got home last night it was 9:00 p.m.

Today I’m in the process of catching up on stuff I didn’t get done the past two day. I’d like to get caught up on everything today, but I haven’t read e-mails in two days so I have three e-mail in boxes to check. I’ve still got to go to Food 4 Less this afternoon to get chick thighs and gravy makings for tomorrow. Mom has the black-eyed peas soaking right now for tomorrow’s lunch or dinner. We still haven’t decided whether we’re going to stay up and watch the ball drop or go to bed. For the past couple of years we’ve been going to bed on New Years Eve and not staying up to welcome in the new year.
