2008 has Begun

I brought in 2008 properly by staying up until 4:00 AM writing and surfing the Internet. In the afternoon I downloaded a new calendar. It is a Baha'i calendar and shows the Baha'i days and dates with the Gregorian date shown as 1/1. When I boot my computer the calendar loads. When sunset come it changes to the proper day.

Our lunch today consisted of blackeyed peas with jalapeno peppers and chicken. I decided to use chicken thighs because I could cook them right in the slow cooker with the blackeyed peas. That way I just had one cooking item to wash rather then two or thee.

I think 2008 is going to be a better year. I'm in a much better mood and less worried. Perhaps I should wait until after Friday, but I need an optimistic out look right now.
