Late....almost

Yesterday I had an eye doctor appointment and almost missed it. I have been so tired since this arthritis thing because I have trouble sleeping through the night. So yesterday, about 2 hours before my appointment, I was so tired and sleepy, I decided to take a little short nap. I woke up thirty minutes before my appointment and just made it there on time. And bad news, my pressure was 27, drops not working. So now, I am on no drops and back for another check on April 10th...ugh. I said to the doc, "It's hard to believe there is anything wrong when my vision is the same as it has always been." "Yes," she says. "I know, but the high pressure damages your optic nerve." And so the saga continues. Sometimes I feel like I am outside myself looking in on someone else's life. If only...at least the bad parts.

On the plus side, the weather is beautiful, mid-eighties today...maybe rainy. I am meeting a friend for lunch to hear all about her recent cruise. Ann is in my life history group and my critique pod so I am really looking forward to hearing all about it while enjoying some tasty soup at a nearby cafe. It's called the "New Deal Cafe"...wonder if the name had something to do with Roosevelt. Nah, they are too young. But they make the best soups ever and lots of vegetarian fare, too.
