This is the second entry into my new blog which I am planning to fill with various creative writing projects, from my past and present as well as plugs for future stories.

News

I have, for some time, been undergoing an online short story writing course but have finished and passed the course. I'm sure you are so excited that you just can't hide it. You must be about to lose control and think you might like it.

Updates

Up dated an entry called "And Fernando Makes three". Started to wrtie it sometime back.

Creative Writing Snippet

Poem about 7.8 Earthquake I experienced a couple of years ago.

Rumble in the Witching hour

From my sleep I was awaken
just after midnight by a vibration
“Another earthquake, soon be through”
I was used to them, so nothing new

Suddenly there came a rumbling
Objects rattled and stated tumbling
The room began to rock side to side
Like a turbulent plane, or carnival ride.

Some pictures fell from their hooks
As did a mirror but not my books
And with it came a shatter of glass
“Will this Earthquake ever pass?”

At last the rumbling and earthquake stopped,
My mind was rattled and nerves were shot,
I found the cord and turned on the light,
Then hastened to check if my Dad
“Are you alright?”

Ringing family texting friends
Watching BBC and CNN
We’d never felt an earthquake like that was so great
So I was of no surprise when they said it was almost an “8”
