I'm with you, Joy. The more highly acclaimed a book directly impacts its appeal to me...that is less appealing. So many reviews and other author, etc., recommendations are bought these days, who knows the truth? I do read a lot and usually stick with authors I know, but also like you, I do have a loyalty to my groups.

. Yes, our own not falling while walking Olympics is a great idea, as my son instructs me, "Mom, when you walk out to the front to get the mail from the mailbox, make sure you have your cell with you." Lol!

Your husband sounds like a wonderful person and watching the Olympics with him sounds like a great thing to do together as a couple. I'm glad you have those nice memories.

I appreciate your attitude about judging contests. It is hard. I want everyone to win.

My childhood was not the best time in my life with the exception of maybe a handful of experiences that rate a high score. But, those moments of bliss endure front and center in my memory and I choose to cherish them.

. It is about you and your friend. On the other hand, maybe I can somewhat artlessly comment on what he said the way I understand it. Here it goes:
