"Failure is unimportant. It takes courage to make a fool of yourself."
CHARLIE CHAPLIN
Sometimes it takes darkness and the sweet
confinement of your aloneness
to learn
anything or anyone
that does not bring you alive
is too small for you.

This is my supplementary blog in which I will post entries written for prompts.
I'm with you, Joy. The more highly acclaimed a book directly impacts its appeal to me...that is less appealing. So many reviews and other author, etc., recommendations are bought these days, who knows the truth? I do read a lot and usually stick with authors I know, but also like you, I do have a loyalty to my groups.
I hear that all the time Joy, why don't you take your phone with you to the bathroom, that's where the most accidents happen. Why didn't take your phone when you're in the backyard... It's a constant nag from Vic and Amanda.
Thanks 🌸 pwheeler - love joy peace and Lyn's a Witchy Woman. Yes, our own not falling while walking Olympics is a great idea, as my son instructs me, "Mom, when you walk out to the front to get the mail from the mailbox, make sure you have your cell with you." Lol!
I'm with you about getting authentic reviews, there's nothing worse than having a review that only repeats what you wrote and tells you good job. GRRRR
We could start our own Olympics walk, talk and not fall, Joy, me and 🌸 pwheeler - love joy peace. I'm sure we could find a few more interested.
"Right now, I am into the sport of walking without falling or stumbling." Maybe in the special Olympics? You have a good sense of humor about it!
Your husband sounds like a wonderful person and watching the Olympics with him sounds like a great thing to do together as a couple. I'm glad you have those nice memories.
I appreciate your attitude about judging contests. It is hard. I want everyone to win.
Joy Jun 20, 2024 at 2:37pm In response to "Childhood"
Simply Me Yes, you are not the only one. Many people say they had not-too-great a childhood. I guess life itself is sweet and sour and so is childhood.
My childhood was not the best time in my life with the exception of maybe a handful of experiences that rate a high score. But, those moments of bliss endure front and center in my memory and I choose to cherish them.
Prompt: A male friend wrote in my annual: If a book was written about my life, you would be the best sentence. Write about this in your Blog entry today.

What a nice compliment! Truthfully, I wouldn't know what to say about that, Megan . It is about you and your friend. On the other hand, maybe I can somewhat artlessly comment on what he said the way I understand it. Here it goes:
Poetic and profound, these words beautifully state that amid all the complexities, events, and stories that make up this person's life, you stand out as the most remarkable and cherished part. Also, it means to say that a particular moment or presence with you surpasses all others in importance. It shows that you have brought an extraordinary value and joy to his life.
Above all, this compliment goes beyond simple flattery, suggesting a deep emotional connection and appreciation of you. It may mean that you are a highlight who marked him with a profound influence.
