Thoughts: I enjoyed this blog. Music for me also requires good lyrics. There are a few songs out there that I can listen to that don't have lyrics, but I prefer them. I also agree that when listening to music, one shouldn't get caught up in fads. Most fad music is awful. Music is something that should connect to something deep inside and draw you out.

What I liked: I like that you go your own way even though it isn't what everyone else is doing. I also enjoyed your last line. That sums up great music perfectly. It should draw the listener in and lead him/her to places they've never been.

Suggestions:

> You use a lot of commas and that makes some parts hard to read. Example: As such, I don’t have, what would be conventionally described as, great taste because I just listen to whatever I want.

It would read smoother like this: As such, I don’t have what would be conventionally described as great taste because I just listen to whatever I want.

> The line: Even in my teenage, sounds a little odd. Maybe try: Even when I was a teenager or something similar.

Final Thought: This is an interesting piece and it shows a lot about you. You might like Alanis Morissette. Her lyrics are strong and the music is soothing. Also, maybe take a look at this sometime:
