Community Recognition goes up in a number of ways.

*Note* Receiving a Merit Badge. More details ~ "Invalid Item"  or "Merit Badges and Achievements" 
*Note* Receving an Awardicon. More details ~ "AwardIcons" 
*Note* For every 100 reviews, you'll receive one.
*Note* If you refer a member to Writing.Com and they sign up, you'll receive one.
*Note* You'll get more the more years you stay on Writing.Com.
*Note* And, finally (I think), you'll get some if you become a Preffered Author, a Mod, a Senior Mod. More details here ~ "Portfolio Icons"
