Do you mean the "Read & Review" in the left column? Authors must have been online at Writing.Com within the last 3 hours in order for an item of their to be chosen when clicking that link.

If you're looking for more specific things to read and review, and/or you'd prefer only "newly modified" items, you're definitely better off using the many other options within WdC, most of which are sorted by "Most Recently Modified" as the default.
