 | Dear Me 2021  [E] Looking at a new year, dreaming, and making plans  |
| (4.5)   Greetings Pumpkin !What brought Hoovsie meandering in a space time continuum over to your port?  I am reviewing your Dear Me letter as one of the judges for "Dear Me: Official WDC Contest" . Thanks for entering! What does hoovsie think about while perusing your item? I think that your item makes a lot of sense. It is good to visualize yourself as what you want to achieve, having arrived there. I found this to be positive and inspiring.  Don't forget in the future to include your word count as required by the rules. I have been guilty of that myself in the past so don't feel bad about it. It happens to all of us. It doesn't change the fact that you did some fine work here.  My criteria for judging Dear Me letters is about what I find memorable and interesting. It may not agree with anyone else's judgment. I also enjoy something that touches me personally. That is to give you an idea of where I'm coming from in the whole judging realm. No expert on keeping my own New Year's Resolutions, I didn't even try to think of any this year. So, I'm also looking to be inspired with my own plans for the year. I admire you for your resilient attitude about life in general. What does hooves moo and applaud about while reading your item? This part stays with me: "I heard a psychologist say recently, that if you aren't at least a little embarrassed by where you were or who you were a year ago, then you haven't learned anything." Somehow, I think it's even more true in such a difficult year. We all should be embarrassed to some extent, given what's transpired and how we've all fallen in line so easily with whatever was dictated from on high. That really struck a chord with me. I wonder how we will all see things in a couple of years looking back. That is where the Dear Me writing can give you a timeline of how you felt about things and about writing in retrospect.
