What does hoovsie think about while perusing your item?

I thought about the year we leave behind and how you dealt with that. I thought that you were fair and not unduly harsh or critical. It is more like a realistic assessment of what didn't happen and why. This year is a rough one in the rear view mirror because there was so much "down" time. In other years, we can tell ourselves we were busy and be more convincing about it.

I found I could identify with that feeling of maybe regret and maybe not regret, but understanding.

My criteria for judging Dear Me letters is about what I find memorable and interesting. It may not agree with anyone else's judgment. I also enjoy a sense of humor or something that touches me personally.

That is to give you an idea of where I'm coming from in the whole judging realm.

No expert on keeping my own New Year's Resolutions, I didn't even try to think of any this year. So, I'm also looking to be inspired with my own plans for the year.

I admire you for all the thought and effort you put into this.

What does hooves moo and applaud about while reading your item?

I like how reasonable and realistic your goals are. Experience has taught you well. It's not like you are setting goals that you know you can't reach. You are fair and that's a good way to treat yourself. Be fair.

I enjoyed the humorous ending also.
