The title of the blog, and then the title of the poem, led me to click.

I absolutely love the message you give in the poem. Everyone is obsessed with looking pretty, and this needs to be combated at every level. I can relate personally because my Mom told my aunt that it was lucky I was cute, because otherwise I took after my Dad in looks and she wouldn't have been able to play with me. Neither Dad nor I are bad-looking, it was just Mom's obsession. She dinned it in my head as I grew that a man better like me for my inner qualities since I had no prettiness to offer.

The metaphors you use in this poem are spot on. I couldn't pick one favourite line because I like them all. You've mentioned the prompt, but I'm reviewing this without viewing the image. I'll click on that after I've done the review.

I wonder if you could bring out somewhere that this propaganda is 'toxic' for the mind, the emotions and the body itself. The skin products women are urged to use are often very harmful. Some of the 'fairness' creams that film-stars model for actually peel off the top layer of skin.

Maybe some Writing ML, like font, size, center and line space ...

Thanks so much for writing this!
