My question is how did they become trapped in the tunnel or cave? More details about this would add to your story and keep readers interested.

The characters are believable because as I read your story I pictured cats doing the actions. In a way, it was like watching an animated show. I pictured cats as people see them and then tried the cartoon version of picturing cats. Either way works for me.

The scene is easy to understand most of the time. The dialogue works well and can be understood. I found nothing to distract me from reading your story.

I was relieved to learn everyone was safe from the unknown danger. My guess is it might be a large predator or perhaps a human who keeps things hidden in the underground space by the water for some reason.
