A tanka to sun--for Writers Cramp
tanka

on creation’s palm
you are the fate line of earth
a fortune of light
resolved to give birth by fire
finding warmth in giving warmth

how beautiful life can be
when through cracks your smile enters
lighting up the clouds
from a majestic distance
in celestial energy

you fall on my lips
when you rise after the moon
through shadows of dawn
do not turn cold; not before
I touch you like Icarus
