My poem is true, we kids just dont think anymore, and now, i can say it to the world
i will speak my mind, and when i said this in spoken word, i used plenty of attitude. I will say, i refuse to change it because of incorrect grammar, i write my poetry the way i talk.

I don't use my fists
I mark paper with ink
you know why I'm nice?
I'm nice `cuz I think.
why do morals cause such misery?
why do people have no dignity?
the people cant teach
'cause no one will listen.
you think i would loose my mind
an take my time
to turn you 'round on a dime?
I know better.
Teachers dont teach
'cause they got something to show
teachers will teach
cause they got something to know
you think your attitude can affect me?
just stand on a corner
'cause that's all I see
HEAR the words of the Mavericks
and our strength stampeding in the night
listen to this Mavrick rhyme
Respect thine sister and thine brother
Acheive thine goals and respect each other
keep your cool, stop your fights, its visible in you,
have Pride in yourself and all that you do
a slapbox only brings bruises
punches only bring blood
why do we give so much hate
why can't we give love.
I know just to show
we kids ain't stupid
you just dont think
you think you're all that 'cause you got bling
and you can sing
and you can make slander out of anything?
think again
take pride in whats there
quit casting people out
don't bite the hand that feeds you
the destiny of greatness exceeds more than few
dont close your mind
dont let yourself do the crime
we Mavericks have to stick together
you think you're ghetto
'cause you live in the hood?
it's not an excuse
and the lie ain't no good
I ain't tellin' a story
but the truth ain't no drink
so stop all the slander and lies
and THINK!
