My first poem, written 16 years ago.
Bulldozers

These walls make a fool of me,
They are my prison everyday,
They watch me waste my better days,
They watch me fade away.

These walls capture all my gloom,
And then send it back to me ,
In a split second they change my mood,
However joyous it might be.

And everyday a piece of me,
In this room I leave behind,
For when I leave, I will be back,
In a destiny so unkind.

But these walls are unaware,
Of the next bullet in the gun,
And I’ll be laughing like a madman,
When the bulldozers come.
