Taking reponsibility for one's own happiness
Looks can be deceiving
For a heart seeking
Somebody to love
To fit like a glove
To complete you
Make you whole
Fulfill your soul

What a crock.
How is someone else
To make you what you are not?
How can they give you
Something you haven't already got?
Why do you look to them
To do that which you choose not?
To finish something
When you won't even start
To take responsibility...
For your heart...
Your happiness...
Your joy...

Silly boy...

Looks can be deceiving
For a heart seeking
Somebody to love
To fit like a glove
To complete you
Make you whole
Fulfill your soul

She can not build up
What you have tore down
Can not save you
While you drown...
In your own misery
Looking for company
Believing she will make you
She'll inevitably break you
And you won't even know it
Playing ignorant
Because it's easier for you
Easier than the truth.

She will see through your facade
Go along with the charade
Undo the best plans
You so patiently laid
Because she will have known all along
You were Mr. Wrong
Mr. Right for right now
Nothing more
Nothing less
Just another mess
She has gotten herself into
Another mess she will work through
When the time comes
When she is done.
