A truly loved survivor
You touched her in a way you should not have done...
Taking liberties with your daughters...your sons.

Drowning yourself in your liquid courage...
Sinking to depths where their pleas did not discourage.

You drank and drank...awaiting numbness to come...
Making it easier to feign ignorance...to play dumb.

Lying in wait to have your way...
Hearts of the innocents were your prey.

Sometimes you paid her sister a visit next door...
Coveting her like your very own whore.

Years and years have and are passing her by...
Half a century...how time flies.

You now lay cold within your grave...
It is her life I want to save.

She's afraid of closets with closed doors holding darkness within.
She fears cold, calloused, forceful hands pawing at her skin.

She fears all these things and so much more.
She forgets and has forgotten her life is worth fighting for.

These fears were the "gifts" given by you...
Fears for what you put her through.

Take back what is rightfully yours.
She has no use for your closet doors.

No use for your liquid courage, your drunken state...
No use for those fears...for all of her hate.

You can take your hands off her...Put your manhood away...
She is stronger than you ever were.  She will make it through today.
