Contemplation on the passage of time from the perspective of an older person
The moments whizzed by--

Hummingbirds, dragonflies.



Why was it only a while ago

That the moments were lazy clouds

Bulbously rolling on azure oceans?



Why was it only a day ago

That Christmas would never get here,

That Grandpa would never die?



Why was it only, so only a bit

Past that time was just waiting

For the next warm bottle of milk?
