I am flying like a bird
I'm a bird, floating the skiea. I'm just below the clouds. They often come down to touch me. I love their fluffy texture. They caress my wings, making me move on. The sun gives me warmth and energy. I love the rain too, but when it pours too much, I look for any shelter that can keep me dry. When the winds are against me-harsh and cold-I have to try really hard. God gives me strength to bear it. My wings feel fatigued and tired after the struggle, but I have to move on.

It seems just like yesterday that I was with my flock. I played around with my friends. We used to be together, like tommorow was ours. It was so sudden that we parted. I left my flock to fly to better heights, to join a new flock. I yearn to be with them again, but I have come too far. When I can't have them around me, I don't know who to share my.......everything with. I dream about them too, a lot, in fact almost every night. And that's when I realize how cruel time is. i wonder how long will it take for most of them to forget me and my mere existance.

I soar through the skies, tearing the wind apart. I've become strong because of the hardships I've suffered. I've learned to tolerate, to bear, to fight. It has become a part of my nature now. I believe in hunting for survival, rather than living on the carcass that others leave behind. I believe in being independent.

I stand at the edge, ready to jump into the air.
