Burnt Roses

I'm on my way to the graveyard to lay some roses
It's a dark and stormy night
The perfect backdrop for my demise
Suddenly I swelled up inside and drove faster as I cried

I want to end it all
Find a cliff see if this car can fly
Then out of all the voices in my head,
A particular one said "stop"
So I brokedown and got out in the pelting rain
I wish a bullet would fall
I'd take one straight to the brain

I took a kneel and prayed for you
I feel betrayed

The storm grew stronger
I stood my ground
Thunder growled
Lightning struck
Blew my car away
God damn you missed me

The anger in my heart
Set the fire in my eyes
The roses burnt to black just the way you like
Saying goodbye isn't easy
Living without you is hard
I wiped the tears from eyes
Took a kneel
Prayed for you
