I planned to enter this contest, but it closed due to lack of interest. I'll enter it here

Knowledge is power. The use of slang is common on the streets To be knowledgeable about the meanings behind these words, we need to look them up in the dictionary.

Knowledge is power. To learn new words, I can understand what they mean and how to pronounce them correctly. This comes in handy when learning a new language.

Knowledge is power. If It were possible, I could be an inventor. Upon exploding, releasing a delightful fragrance in the air would be something I could create. The aroma would be so irresistible that people couldn't help but be kind to one another. This kind of bomb wouldn't harm anyone. Functioning like a pair of scissors, a detonator diffuser would snip off the tip of the bomb, whereas, when it hit the ground no one would be hurt or die. This would be another invention of mine. There's good and bad in everything. Why couldn't we say the same thing about chemicals? I figured the good ones would outweigh the bad ones. Not a bad idea! We could be busy shaking each other's hands, rather than using them as weapons. Instead of hatred, there would be peace in the world. This may be going a bit too far, but, it could be done if I put my imagination and creativity to work.

Treating me like I'm invisible (not being seen or heard), is disrespectful and rude. Knowledge is power when people can include me in their conversations and respect me for what I say. Ignoring my words shows a lack of respect.

Before an argument escalates, it would be a win-win situation if I could diffuse it. Knowledge is power if I can accomplish this with success.

When things don't go according to plan, knowledge is power when I can agree to disagree. Perhaps, then, I wouldn't get mad so easily. When my buttons get pushed a lot; I get mad. People think this is funny. I don't like being on edge.

If someone would pay attention to me, I wouldn't have to shout to get attention. Life would be so much better if people didn't have to scream and yell to get attention. If people only took the time to listen, the world would be a friendlier place to live in. There would be less fighting. To be free from any acts of violence would be calmer and safer for young and old alike.

Knowledge is power.
