Welcome to Words, Wonderful Words. The purpose of this activity forum is to share our favorite famous quotes, phrases, and lines of poetry. There are terrific combinations of words weaved by WdC writers. I listed some in my first post. Any Ideas or tweaks to this forum are welcome. tracker I often see words arranged in unique and clever ways. Creativity abounds at WdC. Some make me smile, some make me frown, but all give me pause to wonder why I did not think of them myself: "In the first sentence, it's not clear what Perrin is lifting. It's a brief hiccup until we realise you must mean the cart, but that's enough to put the reader off right at the start." The power struggle between the males of the herd evident, one resisting aging the other desiring to be the leader of the pack. Their shoulder muscles bulge like ropes of steel on white sinewy bodies in bold contrast to their horns the color of dried lemon peels wound in tight coils which rattle louder than a train rumbling on weathered tracks. Their determination obvious by the elder buck's refusal to be seen undesirable... like stale bread while the younger buck sees the world as his stage.
