New love always feels the deepest.

I smile and love freely under the black night’s spell,
in this veil of darkness I know I belong,
as I lay in his arms and breath in his smell,
my mind free of fear, so full of our song.

He takes me in this passionate feeling,
his touch makes me shiver with need for more,
taking over me with words with new meaning,
a new bliss reached, never experienced before.

His scent clings to my skin, thoughts to my head.
Warmth fills my body, haunted, I remember.
The heat of our limbs, his lips as he said;
But fear claims me before I surrender.

The day holds me captive, to me it does tell,
I am not of the night, though I know I belong.
The want for his arms and my heart as it fell,
My mind not fear-free, yet always full of song.
