This is unlike my normal writing, but i would appreciate some input.

Illusions of a Dreaming Mind


I close my eyes
And see your face
Your lips quirked up
You smile.

Staring at me
With bright black eyes
Glittering at some untold joke
You laugh.

Gazing at you
I have tearful eyes
Remembering when you said goodbye
I cry.

Your arms hold me
In a strong embrace
Your shoulder perfect
For my head.

I retreat from you
Knowing that I only dream
Then you kiss my hand
And take your leave.


I watch you go
With filling eyes
Not quite cried out
Before.


Then I open my eyes
And see the mirror
And the tear stains
On the floor.
