Self concerns about the state of many issues, and which voice will carry us to our goals.
Carry me; carry me to the end of the worries.
When times moves slowly and sleep is within my grasp.
Carry me to the start of morning.
As the day unfolds and life has no barriers.

Carry me to the past when our past was still our future, when our words were our thoughts.

Carry me to the day before I was conceived so I could witness the love they once shared.

Carry me to the minute he first walked out, then take me to the last.

Carry me to the moment when I can look unto my country and not see fear in the eyes of everyone I encounter.

Young eyes that seem darker than I remember and old eyes that fear closing for there last memory carry them into darkness.

Carry me, carry me into the land that seeks the truth, the mind that holds the key, and there I would like to ask this question.

Can someone carry us to freedom?
