Writing. Anne Lammot lets the reader in on everything she has ever learned about writing, and it's absolutely fabulous. It gives perspective, humor, inspiration, and help to any writer out there struggling with the writing life.

I have read this book over and over and over, and everytime I finish I feel refreshed and inspired. The concept of taking your writing "bird by bird" using "shitty first drafts" and remembering that writing is not about publishing, just helps enormously when feeling blocked. I also adore the personal touches and anecdotes given by Lammot, they make an isolated writer feel a sense of community. The book is written in a wonderful style full of comedy and help.

There's very little I don't like about this book, the only thing I don't like are the things that don't personally work for me, but that's a matter of personal preference.

Write for hours. It just makes you feel so inspired.

Inspired and happy, like I could actually accomplish something.

Is fantastic, witty, down to earth, practical, and so helpful. I would love to read more of her work.

It's absolutely the best writing book ever! I know that's only my humble opinion, but it can always help get rid of writer's block.

EVERY WRITER SHOULD READ IT AT LEAST ONCE!

Helpful, wonderful, funny. It's just a must read for anyone who loves to write.
