Summary of this Book...
Martie Rhodes is a young wife and successful video-game designer. Then one morning she experiences a sudden and inexplicable fear, a fleeting but disquieting terror of…her own shadow. Later she realizes that she is terrified to look in the mirror and confront the reflection of her own face. As these traumatic episodes build, the lives of Martie and her husband, Dustin, change drastically. Desperate to discover the reasons for his wife’s sudden descent into mental chaos, Dusty takes Martie to the renowned therapist who has been treating her best friend, and begins a frantic search for clues. As he comes closer to the shocking truth, Dusty finds himself afflicted with a condition even more fearsome than Martie’s.

Extremely suspenseful!
I especially liked...
I liked the use of words, as usual. The story made you want to keep reading, and it fell together really well. The characters are exceptional, as well.

I also enjoyed the short chapters.
I didn't like...
Hmmm...The last few chapters were really descriptive, and used a lot of large words. The story slowed down a bit, but it was still interesting—just a bit slow, and it’s only a few chapters that are like this.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
I wanted to write. As usual, Koontz has inspired ideas. Also, I wanted to read more of his work, which I will do after taking a quick break to read two other books in my extensive lineup.
This Book made me feel...
Excited, interested…It also inspired my writing of haikus.
I recommend this Book because...
It's awsome, interesting, and makes you wonder what will happen next.
Further Comments...
"This particular book was especially good escape reading. A real thriller. The writing was good. The plot was entertaining. The characters were colorful. I enjoyed it.”
