Poetry! All sorts of wonderful poetry in every form you can imagine. Special poets such as Donald Hall and Jane Kenyon are showcased along with interviews and their original poetry. It's a wealth of delicious words, images, and ideas that had me chomping at the bit to learn to write poetry myself!

The interviews and the poetic examples. Some of them are so good, so full of rich imagery, I wanted to alternately cry, laugh, or just run out and hug someone. :)

There is nothing I didn't like about this book. It's artistic, special, inspirational, and exciting! I recommend it highly to anyone who loves words and the images they can create!

Uplifted, excited, alive. Like everything about me (the writer in me) was being touched and stimulated, like I was being brought to life.

Is a great guy with a talent for picking out the best of the best and for interviewing.

It will touch you, stir your imagination, and most importantly, get you running to your computer to write!

There isn't any reason not to recommend this book--it is one of my all-time favorites.

I bought this book in 1995, long before I ever tried my own poetry or other writings. It was so rich and magical that I ended up trying to write my first poems only weeks later, as well as my very first mystery story. There is something in this book that worked like alchemy on my mind---as though the minds of all of the poets reached out and connected with me, pouring their knowledge into my eager, amateur brain. I loved this book when I bought it, and 8 years later, I still do. This is one book I will never give away, never sell, never toss. I will take it with me to my grave if need be---it's simply that good. :)
