Summary of this Book...
A horrible summer and year is included in this adventure of Harry Potter. He indeed is experiencing things he never dreamed of and facing death in a closer way than before. His process of maturity is leading into a whole new world of trouble, including girls that he does not understand at all.
This type of Book is good for...
Teenagers mostly, but anyone who reads it will love it!
I especially liked...
The few joyful moments that Rowling didn't mind slipping in. This book is also more detailed than the others. And Rowling seems to have a great sense of humor as well, as the other books has shown already.
I didn't like...
The death and the darkness throughout the book. It was ever so painful watching the person die and all over the year and summer Harry felt so miserable. And also with everyone being so secretive all the time. She also seems to be letting off the within-book foreshadowings, for I don't know why. But I guess this might provide many for the next books.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
CRY!!! And I did. I only got over the death by convincing myself that the person's not dead for certain reasons. And of course I wanted to reread it and buy the next book when it comes out too, but not as strong as before now that the plot is leading to this whole different world for Harry and us.
This Book made me feel...
Painful and miserable. I read about all the rumors there is and nothing prepared me for the death and the darkness.
The author of this Book...
has given us another great book and part of the amazing adventure of Harry Potter. But as everyone can see, she is turning too cruel toward her character. Harry spent the whole year in misery and so would we. Btw, she seems to be taking too long to write the next one as well, bummer. ><
I recommend this Book because...
It's impossible not to read it if you've read the first four, especially after waiting for so long. I also recommand it because the maturity of Harry seems to be combining with the reality itself.
I don't recommend this Book because...
It's so depressing and dark. I didn't cheer up for a week after reading it, though I don't regret that I did.
Further Comments...
This book and Rowling herself leads into a whole new world for Harry and us. This is quite different from the first 4, plotwise and literaturewise, but it seems that the "action" has finally come in. Even though there isn't much about it in this one, the tense in the air can just give you an idea of what the next 2 will be like.
