Summary of this Book...
Winston Smith is a free-thinker in a world of barbaric totalitarianism. He tries to fight against the Party, who is led by Big Brother. In the end he finds out that resistence is futile, and the Party can break down any kind of action against them.
This type of Book is good for...
making you think. The society portrayed in this novel is far-fetched compared to our own, but in some ways it can be similar.
I especially liked...
the way Orwell describes his new world, physically and politically. You really get a feal for the setting, so much that you actually feel like you are there.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
release any conceptions I had on my thinking, and learn to think for myself a little bit more.
I recommend this Book because...
it was very interesting, and scary, and entertaining all at the same time. I really like books that make me think, like this one has. If you are up for an intellectual and inspiring novel, this book is for you.
